Sitting by the River
Done in watercolor
Some wrinkle tech, drybrush
15’‘by20’’ on Parchment Paper
Reflections
Tree shadows falling across
Clear blue waters of the river
Reflected on the surface
Mirror image of inner peace
By the river, I sit on the banks
Amongst the stalks of green
Contemplating joy and happiness
In a quiet, tempered way
Beneath the satin ribbon
Lie perfectly rounded stones
Withstanding time as the world goes by
With gentle dignity
Time goes slow sitting by the river
Distorted softly like the tree’s reflection
Time to take in the surroundings
Breathe in deeply Gaia’s sweet breath
Reflecting on life away
From this tranquil paradise
Clear the mind, purify the soul
Rejuvenation in reflective depths
